Xiaomi To Introduce HyperOS For These Xiaomi, Redmi And Poco Smartphones Next Year
The handset maker has officially stated on X, formerly Twitter, that a range of smartphones and a tablet will be globally updated to HyperOS during the first quarter (Q1) of 2024.
Earlier in October, handset maker Xiaomi unveiled plans to replace its proprietary MIUI OS with new HyperOS and discontinue the older OS skin. The new HyperOS UI debuted with the Xiaomi 14 lineup and the company intends to expand the HyperOS developer version to several Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco models in China. The global rollout of the HyperOS developer version has now been confirmed for select Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco models.

Xiaomi, Redmi Models That Will Get HyperOS In 2024
The handset maker has also guaranteed over-the-air (OTA) updates for the stable version to users who are registered in the developer beta programme. The handset models scheduled to receive the HyperOS skin in Q1 next year include the following smartphones:

Xiaomi bid adieu to its prorietary OS MIUI after 13 years, in favour of HyperOS that was launched alongside the Xiaomi 14 lineup.
According to Xiaomi founder Lei Jun, who posted on Weibo: The software is "based on the integration of the deeply evolved Android and the self-developed Vela system, completely rewriting the underlying architecture, and preparing a public base for the Internet of Everything for tens of billions of devices and tens of billions of connections in the future."
