WhatsApp New Update: Users Will Soon Be Able To Hide Profile Picture From Selected Contacts

WhatsApp may soon release a new update to let users hide profile pictures. This update will currently be available for Android beta version 2.21.21.2. Let's know in detail about the new update.

Instant Messaging app WhatsApp is popular worldwide for its new features. In the app, new features are rolled out keeping in mind the users' needs. Also, new updates are essential to provide a better user experience. The company is going to bring another new update. Currently, there are options of hiding our profile pictures from 'everyone', 'all contacts', and 'nobody'. Now, WhatsApp will bring another option to the list. 

New feature is not available right now

According to the latest report by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the company is coming up with an option that will let users hide their profile pictures from selected contacts. The company has not offered this feature in the app yet.  

Currently, users can choose from 3 options 

Once this update is available, you will be able to select the option of 'My Contacts Except' in the profile picture settings. This will let you select particular contacts who would be able to see your profile photo. For privacy options, the company currently offers three settings - 'Everyone', 'My Contacts' and 'Nobody'. 

Available for Android users 

According to the WABetaInfo report, the update from the company will be available for the Android beta version 2.21.21.2. The feature is believed to be available only for Android users at the moment. However, it is expected that the feature may be brought to iOS users later.
