Vivo is said to be gearing up to launch its foldable smartphone in the Indian market soon. Although the Chinese handset maker has not provided an exact release date, a recent report suggests that the device will be unveiled in the country next month. According to a MySmartPrice report which cited industry sources, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is expected to debut in India in 'early June'.

This would be the first Vivo foldable to be released in global markets, and in India.

Vivo's previous foldable smartphones, such as the Vivo Fold 2 and Fold+, have remained limited to its home turf in China. With the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, the company aims to rival competitors like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5, OnePlus Open and Tecno Phantom V Fold in India.

Meanwhile, a Vivo device bearing the model number V2330 was recently spotted on Geekbench featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and running Android 14. It is speculated that this phone could be the global variant of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Specifications And Features

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro made its debut in China equipped with Android 14 with OriginOS 4 layered on top. The device boasts an 8.03-inch primary 2K (2,200x2,480 pixels) resolution E7 AMOLED display and a 6.53-inch (1,172x2,748 pixels) AMOLED cover display, both supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, it offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. Additionally, it features a Vivo V3 imaging chip and a Carbon fiber hinge certified by TUV Rheinland to withstand 500,000 folds.

On the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Vivo has incorporated a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera. Both the outer and inner screens are equipped with 32-megapixel selfie cameras. The device boasts an IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance and is powered by a 5,700mAh lithium battery, supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
