Vivo Reveals Specifications Of Vivo V50 Ahead Of Launch, Here's What It Will Hit The Markets With

All three cameras on the device will feature 50-megapixel sensors—comprising a 50-megapixel front-facing camera, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.

Vivo has officially shared key details about its upcoming V-series flagship, the V50. Set to succeed the V40, which debuted in India alongside the V40 Pro in August 2024, the V50 has now been partially unveiled through Vivo’s official website. While the company has disclosed most specifications, certain aspects like the processor and charging capabilities remain under wraps. The landing page also showcases the smartphone’s design and the colour options available at launch.

The V50 retains a design language similar to its predecessor but adopts a more rounded aesthetic. A significant change is seen in its display, which now features a quad-curved panel instead of the dual-curved edges found on the V40. This means the screen subtly curves on all four sides rather than just the left and right edges.

Vivo has also enhanced the device’s durability, equipping it with official IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The V50 will be offered in three colour variants—Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey.

Vivo V50: Specifications

The rear of the Vivo V50 retains the familiar keyhole-shaped camera module, housing two lenses similar to its predecessor. According to details shared on the website, all three cameras on the device will feature 50-megapixel sensors—comprising a 50-megapixel front-facing camera, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens. Additionally, Vivo’s Aura Light technology is making a return, now with a noticeably larger design compared to the previous model.

Other specifications revealed on the landing page include a sizable 6,000mAh battery, the latest Funtouch OS 15, and advanced AI and camera features borrowed from Vivo’s flagship, the X200 Pro. However, specifics about the processor and charging capabilities remain undisclosed. Earlier leaks suggest that the V50 may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Another report indicates that the smartphone could make its India debut on February 18.
