Samsung Galaxy S23 FE May Finally Come With A Primary 50MP Camera
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, the next iteration in Galaxy S Fan Edition (FE) series may come with a 50MP primary camera.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, the next iteration in Galaxy S Fan Edition (FE) series may come with a 50MP primary camera which would be an upgrade from the predecessor Galaxy S21 FE's 12MP primary snapper, a new report suggests. A report said last month that the Galaxy S23 FE is likely to launch with a 50MP primary cam and now, GalaxyClub, citing a "reliable source" has reported that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE would feature a 50MP camera.
It is known that the Galaxy Fan Edition (FE) lineup from Samsung comprises the upper-mid-range segment of smartphones.
The GalaxyClud report added that the 50MP camera could be the same as the one used on last year's Galaxy S22 and this year's Galaxy S23. It is not yet clear if there would be any upgrade in the selfie camera of the Galaxy S23 FE. To recall, the Galaxy S21 FE was launched with a 32MP selfie camera and the S22 and S23 were unveiled with 10MP and 12MP cameras, respectively.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is likely to come with a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It is likely to rival the likes of smartphones such as OnePlus 11R, Google Pixel 7 and Galaxy A54 5G.
A report said last month that Samsung is mulling to launch the Galaxy S23 FE likely in the fourth quarter (Q4) of this year. Sam Mobile had reported that Samsung may ditch Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets for the S23 FE model and opt for its in-house Exynos 2200 chip in all markets, including the US. The Galaxy S22 series was powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC in Europe and it was Samsung’s first chip with an AMD GPU and was a mess, the report added.
The South Korean tech giant did not launch the Galaxy S22 FE due to the global chipset crisis in 2022, but this year, it may refresh its Galaxy FE series.
To recall, the Galaxy S20 FE that was launched in September 2020 was the first model in the Galaxy FE series, which was followed by the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE that was launched in January 2022.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was unveiled with a near-flagship set of specs that included a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution, refresh rate of 120Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone came with the company's proprietary Exynos 2100 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone ran Android 13-based OneUI custom skin.
