Redmi Watch 4 Launched: Price, Colours, Specs, More

This is the the brand's maiden smartwatch with a metal unibody design.

Handset maker Redmi hosted a launch event in its home turf China and unveiled the Redmi K70 series smartphones and introduced two new smart wearables -- the Redmi Watch 4 and the Redmi Buds 5 Pro wireless earbuds. The Watch 4 features a redesigned appearance with a 1.96-inch AMOLED display and a range of stylish watch band options. On the other hand, the Buds 5 Pro come with Hi-Res audio, ANC and a claimed total playtime of up to 38 hours.

The Redmi Watch 4 comes with a square dial housed in an aluminum alloy chassis, thus, making it the brand's maiden smartwatch with a metal unibody. On the right side, there's a rotating stainless steel crown designed with a 'diamond cut.' The device boasts IP68 certification, making it water-resistant for up to 50 metre. Highlighting premium display features, the Redmi Watch 4 is equipped with a sizable 1.97-inch AMOLED screen, offering a 60Hz refresh rate. With a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and a peak brightness of 600 nits, the smartwatch is well-suited for outdoor use and visibility under intense sunlight. Making use of LTPS technology, the smartwatch claims to get an extended battery life.

According to Xiaomi's official website mi.com, the smartwatch is available in two colour options: silvery white and elegant black. 

The smartwatch also comes with NFC and Bluetooth 5.3. In terms of activity tracking, there is a diverse selection of over 150 sports modes, offering voice-guided workouts and recovery programmes, aimed to enhance user's fitness experience.

The Redmi Watch 4 is equipped with a 470 mAh battery, offering an estimated lifespan of up to 10 days with Always-On Display (AOD) and all health tracking features activated, or up to 20 days with lighter usage. In China, the Redmi Watch 4 is priced at CNY 500 or $70 (roughly translates into Rs 5,860) and is currently available for purchase via Xiaomi's official website.

In terms of fitness, the Redmi Watch 4 comes with a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep and stress tracking capabilities, and a menstrual cycle monitor for women. With support for over 150 sports modes, the wearable device also features a built-in GPS for outdoor workouts.
