Poco Pad India Launch Soon. Expected Specs, Price And Availability

The maiden Poco Pad will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM for robust performance.

Handset maker Poco has begun teasing the launch of its first tablet in the country. The Poco Pad, which made its global debut in May, is now poised to enter the Indian market, the media has reported. Like other Poco products, the Poco Pad will be available exclusively through Flipkart, the e-commerce major. As Poco prepares to expand its product lineup in India, potential buyers and Poco fans can await further announcements in the coming weeks.

Poco Pad Specs, Features (Expected)

The Indian variant of the Poco Pad is said to be similar to the global variant, and therefore, you can expect a device to feature a generous 12.1-inch display. This IPS LCD screen is likely to offer crisp visuals with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, catering to users who prioritise image quality for work or entertainment, says a report by Times Network and Digit.

The display may also feature a 120Hz refresh rate, a specification that's becoming increasingly popular in the tablet market. This high refresh rate could provide smoother scrolling and more responsive touch interactions, enhancing the overall user experience. For outdoor use or brightly lit environments, the screen might boast a peak brightness of 600 nits. This level of brightness typically ensures good visibility even in challenging lighting conditions.

However, it's important to note that these specifications are based on the global model and have not been officially confirmed for the Indian market. As the launch date approaches, Poco is expected to reveal more concrete details about the tablet's features and capabilities tailored for Indian consumers.

The maiden Poco Pad will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM for robust performance.

Audio enthusiasts will get a quad-speaker setup, while a hefty 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging will support extended usage times.

Industry insiders are drawing comparisons between the Poco Pad and the recently launched Redmi Pad Pro, noting similarities in features. However, expectations are high that Poco will position its tablet at a more competitive price point, potentially undercutting the Redmi Pad Pro's starting price of Rs 21,999.

Himanshu Tandon, Country Head of Poco India, was quoted as saying by Times Network and Digit, “We are planning to introduce the Poco Pad in India very soon. We don’t want to restrict ourselves to just AIoT devices and are working on different categories."

"So, you will get to see the Poco Pad in India very soon,” Himanshu said while confirming that the tablet will be launched within this month.
