The OnePlus 12R is said to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3.

OnePlus has officially announced the global and India launch of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 12, on January 23. Additionally, the handset maker has confirmed the release of the OnePlus 12R, alongside, and it will succeed the OnePlus 11R. As seen in the teaser image, the OnePlus 12R is likely to bring notable enhancements, as compared to its predecessors. According to leaks, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to showcase a substantial design upgrade, and possibly incorporate a curved display and a glass sandwich design complemented by a metallic mid-frame.

The OnePlus 12R is said to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3.

Notably, OnePlus has confirmed that, unlike the OnePlus 11R, which had a restricted market presence, the OnePlus 12R will be available in more regions locations, including the European Union (EU) and the US.

The launch of the OnePlus 12R to more regions signals OnePlus's extension of its R-series smartphones to a global audience, unlike the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus 11R, which were exclusive to India only.

Notably, R-series phones from OnePlus offer high-end specifications within an accessible mid-range price range and are essentially rebranded versions of the OnePlus Ace series, which are originally limited to the brand's home turf China.
