Nothing Phone 2a Plus Gets A Glow-In-The-Dark Community Edition: Check Out Price In India, Upgrades

Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition's design is a result of extensive fan involvement; over 900 entries from 47 countries helped shape this edition’s look over six months.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition has officially been launched in India, bringing a unique version of the original Phone 2a Plus, which debuted earlier this year. This limited-edition model stems from the Community Edition Project, which began in March, allowing Nothing’s community to contribute to the design and branding in stages like hardware aesthetics, wallpapers, packaging, and promotional materials. More of a collector's edition than anything else, a striking feature is its glow-in-the-dark back panel, coated in green phosphorescent material.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition: Price and Availability

Priced at Rs 29,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, only 1,000 units of this special model are set for sale.

Beyond India, the Community Edition is available in the UK, Europe, Japan, and the US. By comparison, the standard Nothing Phone 2a Plus launched in India in July, with a similar price for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

The phone’s design is a result of extensive fan involvement; over 900 entries from 47 countries helped shape this edition’s look over six months.

The glow-in-the-dark effect on its back panel, alongside new wallpapers and revamped packaging, gives it a distinct appearance. Light strips around the rear cameras further enhance its aesthetic.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition: Specifications

The Community Edition’s specs align closely with the standard Phone 2a Plus. It runs on Nothing OS 2.6 based on Android 14 and features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G SoC, it offers up to 12GB RAM. For photography, it houses dual 50-megapixel rear cameras and a 50-megapixel front camera.

Additional features include IP54 dust and water resistance, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging and 5W reverse charging capabilities.
