Nothing Ear And Ear a India Launch Confirmed For This Date. Expected Specifications, Prices, Colours

London-based Nothing has announced a product launch event scheduled for April 18, where it will unveil two new earbuds.

London-based Nothing has announced a product launch event scheduled for April 18, where it will unveil two new earbuds -- Nothing Ear and Ear a. The Ear model succeeds the previous Nothing Ear 2, reflecting the company's revised naming approach, which eliminates numerical designations. Both the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear a will adhere to the company's signature transparent design aesthetic, featuring in-ear buds.

They will share common features such as Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), dual connection support, IP54 waterproof rating, and fast charging capabilities, providing up to 10 hours of playback with 10 minutes of claimed charging.

The Ear model will be available in black and white, whereas the Ear a will offer black, white, and yellow variants, says a report by Android Headlines. The expected pricing for the Ear is around USD 150 (approximately Rs 12,490), while the Ear a is anticipated to cost about USD 100 (around Rs 8,325). Prices in India are expected to be lower.

"We started Nothing with audio in 2021 and since our very first product, we’ve relentlessly refined our design and engineering with every new addition to our audio product suite. 2024 is the year we’re unveiling the ultimate iteration of Nothing Audio with two new products that reflect the culmination of three years of design and innovation. What we envisioned from the start - premium for everyone that isn’t about market price, but user preference.

"So with this significant milestone, we’ve reset our naming strategy, stripping back the numbers to center the focus around the product and the unique experience it delivers for each user. True to Nothing. Get ready to welcome Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a) on 18 April 2024," Nothing posted on X, formerly Twitter.

More details about these earbuds are expected to be revealed during the upcoming launch event next week.

The Nothing Ear is expected to deliver approximately 7.5 hours of playback without ANC enabled, with a total combined playback time of up to 33 hours. Conversely, the Nothing Ear (a) is anticipated to offer a slightly extended battery life of up to 38 hours.
