Apple unveiled its latest flagship lineup — the iPhone 14 series — at its ‘Far Out’ event on September 7. Notably dropping the ‘mini’ model after two generations, the Cupertino tech giant unveiled four new phones — iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Pro-series handsets get Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chip, which was dropped in the case of the regular 14 series, powered by the last-gen A15 Bionic SoC. The vanilla iPhone 14 model comes in three inbuilt storage models — 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, priced at Rs 79,900, Rs 89,900, and Rs 1,09,900, respectively.
iPhone 14 Plus also comes in the same three storage capacities, priced at Rs 89,900 (128GB), Rs 99,900 (256GB), and Rs 1,19,900 (512GB).
The iPhone 14 Pro handset comes in four storage models — 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. They are priced at Rs 1,29,900, Rs 1,39,900, Rs 1,59,900, and Rs 1,79,900, respectively.
The top-end iPhone 14 Pro Max comes in the same four storage models as the Pro variant, priced at Rs 1,39,900 (128GB), Rs 1,49,900 (256GB), Rs 1,69,900 (512GB), and Rs 1,89,900 (1TB).

The iPhone 14 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with 1,200 nits of peak brightness, while the iPhone 14 Plus gets a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with similar brightness.
The iPhone 14 Pro, on the other hand, gets a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR Always-On OLED display, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max gets a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. Both the top-end phones get the company’s ProMotion refresh rate feature to scale down to 1Hz when needed to offer better power efficiency.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus comes with a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 12-megapixel main sensor and an ultrawide camera. The camera module is supported by a ‘Photonic Engine’ that makes low-light photography significantly better. For selfies, both phones have a TrueDepth camera at the front with an f/1.9 aperture. The iPhone 14 models offer video capture in 4K 30fps as well as 4K 24fps. The camera also features an inbuilt Action Mode that reduces shakes, motion, and vibrations to deliver a smoother recording experience.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max comes with a triple rear camera setup, which features a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera. All the phones come with Apple’s new Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite connectivity feature, which ensures a quick reach-out to emergency services with locations as well as automatic call to the user’s emergency contacts in case of an accident on road.
Lastly, all phones support eSIM and 5G capabilities.
Apple also introduced the iOS 16, which brings a reimagined lock screen and a host of new features.
