Instagram Introduces New Feature, Ads Will Now Be Seen On Reels

Now users can see ads on Instagram reels. Instagram reels ads may be up to 30 seconds long and they will be visible on the screen. This feature is being rolled out from today.

Users will now see ads during the short video feature reels of Instagram, owned by tech giant Facebook. After testing Instagram reels ads in India, Australia, Brazil, and Germany in April, the company has officially rolled out the reel advertising feature for the rest of the world.

Reasons why Instagram has introduced this feature.
Instagram announced the new feature in one of its official blog posts. The company said that these ads will help the businesses reach a wider audience. Viewers can now view the content of their favourite brands and influencers.

The ads will be fullscreen
Ads for the Instagram reel will appear on full screen and vertical. These ads will appear between different reels. Like regular reels, these ads will loop and run for 30 seconds. Users will be able to like, save and share comments on these reel ads.

These users will get access
Reel ads will appear in most popular places to access Reels content, including the Reels tab, Reels in Stories, Reels in Explore, and Reels in user Feed. When a user taps into a reel from the Stories, Feed, Reel tab or Explore, they will enter a viewer that exclusively shows reels that scroll vertically.

Users have the freedom to filter the content.
Instagram lets its users filter the content and manage the ads. That is, Instagram gives its users the option to skip or hide the ad, as well as tap on the menu to report it.
