Huawei Mate 70 Series Running On HarmonyOS NEXT Launched: Check Price, Specifications
The Huawei Mate 70 series comprises four variants: Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro Plus, and Mate 70 RS.
Huawei has unveiled the latest flagship smartphone, Huawei Mate 70, that will be powered by the company's proprietary HarmonyOS NEXT. HarmonyOS NEXT is an operating system that neither supports Android applications nor includes Google services. This has been done in view of the US imposing sanctions on the company that restricted it from using hardware and software developed by American firms. Following this, Huawei has exited from the Android landscape entirely to dive into its own OS and enrich it further as time progresses.
The Mate 70 series comprises four variants: Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro Plus, and Mate 70 RS. To facilitate a smoother transition for its users, Huawei is said to be providing an option to choose between HarmonyOS 4.3, which is based on Android, and the newly developed HarmonyOS NEXT. However, starting early next year, Huawei plans to ship all its smartphones and tablets exclusively with HarmonyOS NEXT as the default operating system.
