Samsung Galaxy S23 May Launch With A Bigger Battery Than Galaxy S22

As per a new leak, the Galaxy S23 would come with a bigger battery than what we saw in the Galaxy S22.

Samsung's upcoming flagship Galaxy S23 series is in the works and according to the latest leak, the Galaxy S23 would come with a bigger battery than what we saw in the Galaxy S22. This comes from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station who says that the smaller Galaxy S23 may feature a bigger battery than its predecessor, the Galaxy S22.

According to the famed leakster, the upcoming vanilla Galaxy S23 would draw power from a 3,900mAh battery, which is bigger than this year's Galaxy S22 which features a 3,700mAh battery. Digital Chat Station also added that the Samsung Galaxy S23 would have 25W of charging speed which would be disappointing.

Samsung Galaxy S23 May Launch With A Bigger Battery Than Galaxy S22

The launch of the Galaxy S23 series is probably 3-4 months away. According to a previous leak that surfaced last month the design language of the Galaxy S23 and S23+ were leaked which suggested both the phones would be clearly recognisable as Samsung Galaxy S series devices. The biggest change that we can see in the design of the vanilla Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ is the adoption of the Galaxy S22 Ultra-like camera module. Speaking of the change in the camera design, the new renders suggest that there's no more a camera island, but similar to the S22 Ultra, each camera is housed in its own round protuberation.

Previous rumours suggested that the Galaxy S23 series would not get a major design change from the Galaxy S22 series, but early renders paint a different picture. However, the leaked renders should now be taken with a pinch of salt.

Expected specs and features of Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+

Talking about the expected specs and features of Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, the selfie camera is still likely to be placed in a centered hole-punch design. The Galaxy S23+ may come with a slightly bigger display than its predecessor.

In terms of internals, the Galaxy S23 is likely to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, some previous rumours suggest that Samsung may ship some units featuring an Exynos 2300 chipset, depending on the region. The Galaxy S23 may feature 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB configurations. In terms of camera, it may feature a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto sensor.
