Fresh leaked renders of the purported CMF Phone 1 suggest a design more reminiscent of the Apple iPhone SE 2, rather than the Nothing Phone 2a, says a report.
Currently, CMF by Nothing offers only TWS earbuds and neckbands in India. If these leaks are accurate, this launch would mark the company’s entry into the smartphone market. CMF is known for producing affordable products aimed at young consumers, and the CMF Phone 1 is expected to follow this trend. Leaked images show the device in CMF's distinctive pop orange colour, with additional colour options likely to be introduced.
CMF Phone 1 To Be Priced Under Rs 15,000
According to an Android Central report, the “CMF Phone 1” is expected to start at Rs 12,000, positioning it as the most budget-friendly smartphone within the Nothing ecosystem. In comparison, the Nothing Phone 2a's price begins at Rs 23,999.
Meanwhile, some recent leaks have provided more details about the upcoming CMF smartphone.
According to a tip from tipster @realMlgmXyysd on X, formerly Twitter, the CMF Phone 1 will feature hardware specifications similar to the Nothing Phone 2a.
The phone is expected to be priced lower than Nothing’s most affordable model, the Nothing Phone 2a, which starts at Rs 23,999.
Meanwhile, after introducing the Blue variant of the Nothing Phone 2a exclusively in India, apart from the existing White and Black options, London-based consumer tech brand Nothing has recently teased the release of another colour variant for the phone. The new teaser from Nothing, labelled "A story of colour powerfully unique" with a "coming soon" tag, features the text "Nothing (R)" in yellow and red, alongside black colour.
The Nothing Phone 2a has already debuted in a Blue colour variant, specially crafted with the Indian market in mind, according to the Carl Pei-led brand. Initially launched in limited Black and White options in March, the Blue edition went up for sale on e-commerce site Flipkart on May 2 at a discounted price tag of Rs 19,999.
