No official announcements have been made regarding the Apple Watch Ultra 3 but it is likely to be announced this year in September at the 2024 iPhone series launch.

Apple is planning to release a third-generation Apple Watch Ultra in 2024 despite all the scepticism that surrounds it. The upcoming smartwatch from the house of Apple is expected to hit the markets in around September. Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be succeeding the existing Watch Ultra 2. There might not be a reason for a lot of excitement around the launch though. The upcoming watch may not see a lot of improvements as compared to its predecessor. Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has rebutted previous claims according to which Apple may have ditched the Apple Watch Ultra update this year.

As per MacRumors, Kuo said that the company is indeed planning to launch Apple Watch Ultra 3. He added that there will be ‘almost no’ hardware upgrades as compared to Apple Watch Ultra 2. At the moment, no official announcements have been made regarding the upcoming watch but it is likely to be announced this year in September at the 2024 iPhone series launch.

Apple May Also Launch Third-Gen Watch SE

According to a report from MacRumors, Apple may introduce a third-generation Apple Watch SE this year. Apple typically follows a two-year upgrade cycle for the Watch SE, with the second generation launched in 2022. It is probable that the more affordable Apple Watch could receive an update in the coming months. However, the fate of the Apple Watch Series 9 remains uncertain.

A prior report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman hinted at the development of an Apple Watch X featuring a slimmer case and magnetic bands, though its release was initially projected for 2024 or 2025. As a result, it is unclear if the Watch X series will debut this year or in the following years. Gurman previously mentioned potential features for the Apple Watch X series, such as sleep apnea detection and blood pressure monitoring, which could also be incorporated into the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
