Apple Vision Pro Hits Stores In The US. Price, Specs And Everything You Should Know

According to several critics, the Vision Pro has an undeniable "wow" factor, highlighting its cutting-edge imagery and the immersive experience.

Apple stores in the United States on Friday released the much-awaited Apple Vision Pro, the tech giant's latest major release priced at $3,499, the media reported. This marks the Cupertino-based company's first big product launch since the introduction of the Apple Watch nine years ago. According to a report by newswire AFP, the Apple Vision Pro, despite the hype, may not bring about an immediate transformative impact, based on early reviews.

The Verge has described the Apple Vision Pro as "astonishing" while noting that it also comes with significant trade-offs that are "impossible to ignore." Priced at a hefty $3,499, the Vision Pro headset boasts a range of features, such as a 4K display for each eye and smooth transitions between augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) facilitated by a user-friendly dial.

According to several critics, the Vision Pro has an undeniable "wow" factor, highlighting its cutting-edge imagery and the immersive experience of interacting with floating apps using eyes and fingers. But, they point out drawbacks such as its weight, potential impact on the user's hair, and the need for a cumbersome battery pack.

It is to be noted that Apple CEO Tim Cook graced the cover of Vanity Fair on Thursday, showcasing the Vision Pro, in a big promotional push, ahead of the Vision Pro's availability in the US.

The standard configuration of the Apple Vision Pro includes 256GB of storage and a variety of accessories such as the Solo Knit Band, Dual Loop Band, light seal with two cushions, Apple Vision Pro cover, polishing cloth, battery, USB-C charging cable and USB-C power adapter. Notably, the device excels in navigation with support for eye, head, and hand tracking, eliminating the necessity for a separate controller.

Famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF Securities had predicted that the Apple Vision Pro will hit store shelves in late January or early February, emphasising its significance as Apple's "most important product of 2024". Kuo predicted that the company aims to ship as many as 500,000 units in the year 2024.
