Apple iPhone 13 Series Production Being Cut Due To This Reason

Apple has decided it will further cut production estimates of the iPhone 13 series.

New Delhi: Demand for the new iPhone 13 series is declining and Apple has informed its component makers of the development ahead of holidays, says a new report. Owing to the fall in demand for the iPhone 13 lineup, Apple has decided it will further cut production estimates which was earlier reduced from 90 million to 80 million due to the ongoing global chipset crisis.

According to a report by news agency Bloomberg, the iPhone maker was gearing up to make up the shortfall next year when the supply chain situation improves, but now, in the wake of the dwindling demand for the iPhone 13 series, Apple has informed component vendors that it may not end up getting the necessary orders from customers.

The falling demand for this year's iPhone 13 series is due to buyers not opting for the high-to-get iPhone lineup, a report added.

Earlier in November, Daniel Ives, lead analyst at Wedbush had said tht demand for iPhones in this busy holiday season is outpacing supply by 15 per cent.

"Despite the chip shortage and Rubik's Cube logistics that Apple (and every other technology, auto, and retail vendor) is dealing with we are seeing tremendous demand trends both in the US and China for iPhone 13 which is a positive sign that Apple could exceed selling 80 million iPhone units in the quarter with stronger Pro versions driving higher ASPs," Ives was quoted as saying in a report by Apple Insider.
