Following the introduction of the iPhone 16 series, Apple has officially phased out the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 15 Pro series. However, this does not mean that these models are entirely unavailable; rather, they will no longer be sold through Apple's official channels. Currently, the iPhone 13 can be found for approximately Rs 47,900 on various online and offline marketplaces.
Launched in 2021, the iPhone 13 marked a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the iPhone 12. It featured a smaller notch, a new processor, enhanced battery life, and a unique diagonally arranged dual-camera system. With a 6.1-inch OLED display that rivals that of the iPhone 14, the iPhone 13 also boasts an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Additionally, it supports wireless charging, and its main 12 MP camera can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second in Dolby Vision. The iPhone 13 was the first base model to introduce Cinematic mode, adding a new dimension to video capture.
Notably, the iPhone 13 performs on par with the iPhone 14, as both are equipped with the A15 chip. It also set a precedent by offering 128 GB of storage on its base variant. Furthermore, the iPhone 13 is set to receive the upcoming iOS 18 update and is expected to get at least two more major OS updates in the future, namely iOS 19 and iOS 20.
