Free Petrol? Google Pay Users Can Use THIS Trick To Get Fuel Worth Rs 200 Without Any Extra Charge

Google Pay’s "Welcome Tap" offer is a limited-time promotion aimed at encouraging new users to try the convenient tap-and-pay feature.

Google Pay has launched a handy new offer for first-time users called the "Welcome Tap" promotion. As part of this limited-time deal, new users can earn a flat Rs 200 cashback by making their first-ever card tap payment at any Point of Sale (PoS) terminal.

Users can make the most of this feature while making purchases, or head to the petrol pump to refuel their car or bike. After all, who could say no to 200 bucks of free petrol?

If you’ve recently signed up for Google Pay and are looking to try out the contactless card tap feature, this offer gives you an opportunity to receive cashback on qualifying transactions.

How To Avail Google Pay 'Welcome Tap' Offer

To be eligible for the offer, new users must complete a card payment of Rs 200 or more using Google Pay’s tap feature at any supported merchant’s POS terminal. Once the payment is successfully made, users will receive a Rs 200 cashback, which will be credited directly to their bank account linked to Google Pay.

Here’s how new users can activate and take advantage of the offer:

  • Open the Google Pay app and navigate to the "Offers and Rewards" section
  •  Look for the "Welcome Tap" or "Tap-Pay-Go" offer to check its availability
  • Add your debit card to Google Pay, ensuring it’s a VISA or Mastercard, as Rupay cards are not eligible for this offer
  • Make a small transaction (minimum Rs 50) using the newly added card, such as a bill payment or mobile recharge, to set up the card for use
  • After completing the first card tap payment of Rs 200 or more, the Rs 200 cashback will be credited to your linked bank account

Important Things To Keep In Mind

Google Pay’s "Welcome Tap" offer is a limited-time promotion aimed at encouraging new users to try the convenient tap-and-pay feature, which allows for quick and secure contactless payments at physical stores.

However, users are encouraged to review the terms and conditions of the offer, as it is only applicable to new users and may expire soon.
