What To Expect From Apple WWDC 2025: iOS 19 Reveal, Developer Sessions, & A Swift Spotlight

The WWDC25 experience will kick off with Apple’s keynote address on June 9 at 10 a.m. PDT (10:30 p.m. IST).

Apple has locked in the dates for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), with this year’s edition scheduled to run from June 9 to June 13, 2025. As with previous years, the event will be conducted entirely online and offered free of charge, inviting developers across the globe to tune in for a packed schedule of updates, insights, and interactions.

iOS 19 and Beyond: What To Expect from the Keynote

The WWDC25 experience will kick off with Apple’s keynote address on June 9 at 10 a.m. PDT (10:30 p.m. IST). This session traditionally sets the tone for Apple’s software roadmap — and this year promises to be no exception. Audiences worldwide can expect a cascade of announcements spanning across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS, as Apple continues to evolve its ecosystem of devices and platforms.

The keynote will be livestreamed on multiple platforms including apple.com, the Apple TV app, and Apple’s official YouTube channel, with on-demand access available shortly after.

New Tools, Deeper Tech Dives & Developer Insights

Immediately following the keynote, Apple will host its Platforms State of the Union at 1 p.m. PDT, giving developers a closer look at the newest tools and capabilities designed to expand what’s possible on Apple platforms. The session will be streamed via the Apple Developer app, the Apple Developer website, and YouTube.

More than 100 technical sessions will also roll out online over the course of the week. These sessions, led by Apple engineers and product experts, aim to help developers harness the power of Apple’s latest frameworks — whether they’re building intuitive user interfaces, pushing boundaries in game development, or diving into the possibilities of AI and machine learning.

Global Talent, Direct Access & A Student Spotlight

WWDC25 won’t just be about presentations — it will also be highly interactive. Developers enrolled in Apple’s Developer and Developer Enterprise Programs will gain direct access to Apple specialists through online group labs and one-on-one appointments. Topics will range from Swift and app design to graphics, AI, and accessibility.

Highlighting its commitment to nurturing young talent, Apple will welcome 50 winners of the Swift Student Challenge to its headquarters at Apple Park for a three-day experience. These selected students will get an up-close look at Apple’s technology and culture.

“This challenge continues to uplift student developers around the world, and we’re excited to celebrate their ingenuity and creativity,” Apple said in its announcement.

For those unable to attend live, all WWDC25 content will be available via the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel, ensuring developers everywhere can explore the announcements at their convenience.

WWDC25 looks set to be a crucial touchpoint for developers and Apple enthusiasts alike, as the tech giant gears up to unveil the next wave of digital innovation.
