Thalapathy 65: Vijay Starrer Pushed To Tamil New Year 2022? All You Need To Know

Due to the current COVID situation, the release of Vijay's 67th film that is tentatively titled Thalapathy 65, has reportedly put on hold. Makers are planning to lock April 2022 for its final release.

Chennai: Rumor mills are buzzing around with reports of Thalapathy 65 is being pushed to Tamil New Year 2022. As per reports, the movie starring south superstar Vijay was earlier set to release on Pongal 2021. However, due to the ongoing COVID -19 pandemic, the makers have reportedly suspended the shooting for a temporary basis which may cause a delay in action-packed mass entertainer to hit the silver screen.

Seeing the delay, Sun Pictures is reportedly planning to lock Tamil New Year for the final mass release.

Ilayathalapathy is said to be playing the role of a con and rumor also has it that the Master will be seen in a brand new character that his fans never have seen him before.

Recently, Vijay and Thalapathy 65 crew members flew to Georgia for the first slot of shooting following the Assembly election in Tamil Nadu, and the film set was being decked up in Chennai for the second slot of shooting, however, the worse condition of pandemic and ongoing lockdown in Tamil Nadu delayed the shoot following which the makers had to postpone the film.

 

Vijay’s 65th film

The 'Kolamavu Kokila' fame Nelson is directing the 65th film of Vijay. In the female lead, Pooja Hegde will be seen alongside Ilayathapahy, and Malayalam film actress Aparna Das is making her debut in Kollywood with this upcoming high voltage action entertainer.
