Tamil Nadu: Many AIADMK Leaders With Me, Says Sasikala. Refuses To Comment On Contact With Panneerselvam

Sasikala said that she will still retrieve the AIADMK party since many leaders are still in touch with her.

Chennai: Former AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala on Wednesday said that she cannot reveal whether she is in contact with AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam. However, Sasikala said that she will still retrieve the AIADMK party since many leaders are still in touch with her.

Responding to the question of a reporter on whether O Panneerselvam had contacted her, VK Sasikala said, “I cannot reveal about it since so many people are present here.”

On Wednesday, Sasikala addressing a press meet said, “You (DMK government) said you’ve fulfilled most of your poll promises. However, only you are saying it and not the public. Only if public say, we can accept it.”

On PM Modi’s visit, she said, “You (DMK) can fight with BJP during election. However, if you keep on fighting with the Centre, how will you implement the schemes? Instead of fighting the state should act for the people who voted for them.”

“The state should also come to terms with the Centre since if not only the people will suffer,” she said.

Further, Sasikala on Perarivalan’s release said, “Many legal experts state that he was not at fault so Perarivalan’s release is a welcome move.”

The speculation over talks between Sasikala and OPS started in March 2022 after AIADMK functionaries in Theni district passed a resolution on readmitting both TTV Dhinakaran and Sasikala. The AIADMK leaders passed the resolution in the presence of O Panneerselvam.

During the same time, TTV Dhinakaran, founder of AMMK and nephew of Sasikala said, "Let the whole party decide about it, we can think once they arrive at a decision. We did nothing wrong."
