Tamil Nadu: CM Stalin Writes To 37 Leaders Seeking Support For All India Social Justice Federation

The letter has been addressed to Sonia Gandhi, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Farooq Abdullah, Sarad Pawar, T Raja, Sitharam Yechury, HD Deva Gowda, Naveen Patnaik, Mamata Banerjee, Mehbooba Mufti among others

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday wrote to 37 leaders across the country to nominate their representatives to the 'All India Federation For Social Justice', that was launched by the DMK chief during the Republic Day address. 

In the letter, the Chief Minister said, "This is the time when backward forces are challenging the progressiveness we have achieved over the decades. It is important to join hands with progressive forces now to ensure the wellness of the depressed classes."

Requesting the leaders to appoint representatives for the social justice federation, Chief Minister Stalin said, "The base of the federation will be to work towards taking forward the ideology of social justice across the country and frame new action plan that can be applied to the states."

Lastly, he said, it's important to stand together as a union of states to achieve certain objectives, including breaking the caste system. Thereby, we all should unite with the same conviction we had for the establishment of Mandal Commission, he added.

The letter has been addressed to political leaders Sonia Gandhi, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Farooq Abdullah, Sarad Pawar, T Raja, Sitharam Yechury, HD Deva Gowda, Naveen Patnaik, Mamata Banerjee, Mehbooba Mufti, Uddhav Thackery, Aravind Kejriwal, Chandrasekar Rao, Jagan Mohan Reddy among others.

He also wrote to Tamil Nadu leaders, including AIADMK's O Panneerselvam, MDMK's Vaiko, PMK's Ramadoss, VCK's Thol Thirumavalavan and MMK's Jawahirullah.
