'Sir You Are Not The President': DMK Mouthpiece Murasoli Takes Jibe At TN Governor Ravi Over Delay In Sending Anti-NEET Bill
The Tamil Nadu government is already at loggerheads with Governor RN Ravi since the latter did not send the anti-NEET Bill to the President for his assent.
Chennai: DMK's mouthpiece, Murasoli, in its editorial criticized Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi over his delay in sending anti-NEET Bill to President for his assent. The newspaper also titled the editorial as 'Sir, You are not the President'.
In a strong-worded jibe, the editorial of the newspaper said, the duty of the Governor is to pass the bill submitted by Tamil Nadu Assembly to President but the Governor failed to do even his duty. It asked, "The Governor is not even doing his job but he is trying to do politics with the issue. Is the Governor thinking that he can do the role of TN BJP Chief?"
Further, it said, the Governor is misled by some people.
The article also spoke about the forgeries that took place during NEET entrance exam and spoke about the state of underprivileged students who get affected due to NEET.

Later, the mouthpiece ended the article by saying, the government should understand that the justice delayed is justice denied.

The anti-NEET bill is a bill that was readopted for the first time ever on February 8, 2022 after Governor Ravi returned the Bill.
Meanwhile, expressing disappointment over the delay, TN Minister Thangam Thennarasu announced that the state government has decided to boycott the tea party announced by Governor on the occasion of Tamil New Year on April 14.
