President Droupadi Murmu To Inaugurate Guindy Hospital On June 5

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.
Taking to social media, President Droupadi Murmu said, "Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan."

President Droupadi Murmu is set to fly to Chennai to take part in the inauguration of the multi-specialty hospital on June 5.
In a press release, Tamil Nadu government said, "With the completion of the construction of this state-of-the-art hospital and the commencement of the celebration of Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. K. Stalin had invited President of India Tmt. Draupadi Murmu to participate in the above events."
"Hon'ble President of India has given consent to inaugurate the hospital in Guindy, Chennai and to participate in the Centenary Celebration to be held at YMCA Ground, Nandanam on June 5, 2023," it said.
The seven-story 1000-bedded hospital is built at a cost Rs 230 crore. The hospital is set to have facilities including cardiothoracic surgery, neuro surgery, surgical Gastroenterology, medical and surgical oncology, vascular surgery, urology and other departments.
MK Stalin announced about the setting up of the hospital in Guindy on June 3, 2021. He also laid the foundation stone for the hospital in March 2022.

In February, President Droupadi Murmu flew to Tamil Nadu for a two-day visit. Droupadi Murmu reached Madurai and headed for a darshan to Madurai Meenakashi Amman Temple. She then took part in special Anandhana program.
After the darshan in Madurai, President Murmu flew to Coimbatore to take part in Maha Shivratri Celebrations at Isha Yoga Centre. It was her first trip to Tamil Nadu after taking charge as the President.
The police beefed up the security in Coimbatore and Madurai to avoid any untoward incidents and to ensure her smooth participation in the events.
