Before passing the resolution, Tamil Nadu CM Stalin on Saturday addressing the all-party meet said, "Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi should have sent the Bill to the President for his consent. However, he failed in his duty.”
“The governor kept mum on the bill for 144 days and once medical counseling started he sent it back to us even before the decision of the President. That is why we have called you all to launch a protest for social justice,” he added.
He also requested everyone to give suggestions on the steps to take in order to bring an end to NEET.
The meet was boycotted by BJP and AIADMK.
The Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi on February 1 sent back a Bill passed by the Tamil Nadu government seeking exemption from NEET by quoting a Supreme Court order.
