Congress High Command Holds Discussion With Tamil Nadu Leaders To Chalk Out Lok Sabha 2024 Strategy
In his address, Congress president Mallikarajun Kharge urged Congress workers to reach out to the people of the state to win their trust ahead of Lok Sabha polls 2024.
Congress high command conducted a meeting with Tamil Nadu party leaders to discuss the poll strategy ahead of Lok Sabha polls 2024. The Congress top brass reiterated that their alliance with DMK party remains strong in the state. The meeting was attended by MP Rahul Gandhi, Tamil Nadu Congress chief KS Alagiri, AICC in-charge of TN Dinesh Gundu Rao, former finance Minister Chidambaram and MP Karti Chidambaram and others attended the meeting in New Delhi.
According to PTI, Congress president Mallikarajun Kharge spoke to the media after the meeting. In his address, he urged Congress workers to reach out to the people of the state to win their trust.
Later, taking to X, Kharge said, "Lok Sabha Elections preparation meeting with @INCTamilNadu leaders reflected upon a number of critical issues. Our alliance with DMK and like minded parties remains strong. Our leaders must reach out to the people and strengthen their trust in us.”
"People of Tamil Nadu always identify Congress party with the era of the great Kamarajar and we intend to follow his path of welfare and social justice," he said.

According to ANI, Karnataka Minister and Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao said, "...We are a strong alliance in the Tamil Nadu state. Whatever is required from the AICC to prepare us for these elections, all those decisions will be taken by the Congress high command. They've given us a clear-cut road map. In the next few days, many decisions regarding the strategy & what needs to be done our PCC president and other leaders will discuss & come up with a road map. This was the main focus of this discussion..."
In the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the alliance won 38 seats of the 39 seats in the state.
