Kamal Haasan Donates Atmospheric Water Generator To Institute of Child Health

The actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan took to donate the water generator on the occasion of his 69th birthday on Tuesday (November 7).

Actor and MNM chief Kamal Haasan donated Vayujal, an atmospheric water generator made by IIT Madras students, to the Institute of Child Health at Egmore in Chennai on his 69th birthday. The 'VayuJal' machine is used to collect humidity from the air and convert it into up to 500 liters of water every day. Using this, the actor-turned-politician said that pure water could be consumed without scarcity.

According to ANI, Actor and MNM chief Kamal Haasan said, "Despite differences, it's time to unite all good people. Ma Subramanian (Tamil Nadu Health Minister), PK Sekar Babu (Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Minister) and I have come here based on humanity."

"Here a 'VayuJal' machine is placed which we have used for the past two years at Raaj Kamal office and I drink that water. It should be given to children here and used when water scarcity comes," he said.

Further, he urged the government to do more such things. He said, "I trust that more than us, the government can do such things. This machine is made by Indians, Tamilians and made in IIT (Madras). We can consume pure water without scarcity. I recommend this to the government is the good news now. Those here (Ministers) will take this and make sure this machine is installed."

Meanwhile, Kamal hosted a private birthday party which was attended by Aamir Khan and other celebrities in Chennai.
