Chennai: The Supreme Court refused to entertain a plea moved by the father of Kallakurichi Student who died under mysterious circumstances to conduct a third autopsy with one forensic expert of their choice.

A Class 12 student of a private school in Chinnasalem of Kallakurichi was found dead in mysterious circumstances. While the school alleged that the student died by suicide, the family alleged a foul play. A suicide note allegedly recovered from the girl's belongings said that she took the extreme decision since she was tortured by two teachers.

The first autopsy report of the girl revealed that she died due to "hemorrhage and shock of multiple injuries". Another post-mortem was also perfomed on the girl's body on Tuesday based on the order of Madras HC. However, the parents still sought another autopsy with a medical expert of their choice.
Meanwhile, the CB-CID is investigating the case. TN police have also formed a Special Investigation Team (SI) to probe the way how a riot broke out in Kallakurichi.
The TN goverenment also transfered Kallakurichi Collector PN Sridhar and replaced him with Sravan Kumar Jatavath.
