In her complaint on Wednesday, Divya alleged that it was a false complaint. She said that the aluma gave the complaint after the instigation of two teachers.

Divya said that the teachers--Nirmala Nagarajan and Nandhini Nagarajan--were jealous since Hari Padman received praises from former principal Janardhanan, a report on The Hindu said.

As a result, Divya alleged that the lecturers used the survivor to make her lodge a false complaint. She also said that survivor was against her husband since once Hari Padman reprimanded the survivor for her 'inglorious activities’ following which she developed ‘annoyance’ against Hari Padman.

Divya said that the suvivor took part in the birthday celebration of her daughter on September 15, 2019. However, the suvivor said that she faced abuse on July 19

She also asked why would the survivor maintain social contact if she had been sexual harassed by Hari Padman.

She claimed that the survivor thanked Hari Padman on social media after discontinuing her courses at Kalakshetra in 2019.

On April 3, Chennai police arrested Hari Padman, an assistant professor of the Kalakshetra Foundation, based on a sexual harassment complaint from his student.
