'Don't Change Governor Till 2024 Lok Sabha Polls': Stalin Mocks Union Govt

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin said Governor RN Ravi continuing in the state till Parliamentary elections will help the DMK.

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi who is peddling lies and asking what 'Dravidam' is should continue being here (in the state), said Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin on Friday. In a mocking remark, CM Stalin told the Union government, the PM and Home Minister Amit Shah to not change the Governor at least till the Parliament elections. MK Stalin's statement follows Raj Bhavan's accusation that the local police did not file a complaint in the 'petrol bomb' incident.

At an event in Chennai, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin said, "For the past two days, you all know what lies he (Tamil Governor RN Ravi) has been peddling. According to me, this person who is peddling lies and asking what is Dravidam should continue being here. That is going to help us. I am requesting the Union government, the PM and Home Minister Amit Shah, to not change him at least till the Parliament elections."

According to India Today, Stalin remarked, "Certain individuals occupying luxurious bungalows (Raj Bhavan) and high positions, which essentially hold no significance, are questioning the essence of Dravidam. Their inquiry into what Dravidam truly represents is, in fact, a representation of Dravidam itself."

Governor Ravi and the DMK have been in conflict over a range of administrative matters including National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and ideological disparities.
