Cyclone Michaung: TN BJP Chief Annamalai Wades Through Water To Distribute Relief Materials — Watch
Cutting across party lines, BJP workers have also come together to provide relief materials to the people affected by Cyclone Michaung.
Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai took stock of waterlogged streets at AGS Colony in Velachery affected by Cyclone Michaung on Wednesday. TN BJP president on behalf of the party also distributed relief materials to the people. Cyclone Michaung played havoc in Chennai and threw normal life out of gear in the city. The residents of Velachery, Perungudi, Perambur, Perumbakkam among others continued to grapple without electricity, essentials, water and power connectivity.

Taking to X, Tamil Nadu BJP said, "In response to the request of our state president Annamalai to provide relief aid to the people of Chennai affected by Cyclone Michaung, the relief materials received from all district offices of BJP are ready at our party head office to distribute to the public."
"We express our heartfelt thanks to all the District Leaders @BJP4TamilNadu and volunteers who sent the relief items to the people of Chennai. Today these relief items will be distributed to the public by our party workers in the flood affected areas in Chennai," it said.
Meanwhile, Annamalai addressing on DMK MP Senthilkumar's remark said, "If such words are said by mistake then apology can be accepted but if the words are said because of a deep sense of insecurity...then nobody is going to accept the apology...the words uttered by the DMK MP...it came from a deep sense of seeing India the wrong way, it came from deep sense of their faulty ideology...he is a repeated offender."
