3.2 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Tamil Nadu's Chengalpattu
The Chengalpattu district was also recently battered by Cyclone Michaung.

Chengalpattu district, located in close proximity to Chennai, experienced a mild earthquake on Friday morning. The seismic activity, registered at a magnitude of 3.2 by the National Center for Seismology, occurred at 7:39 am and originated at a depth of 10 km. There were no casualties or damage due to the earthquake.
According to National Centre for Seismology, "Earthquake of Magnitude:3.2, Occurred on 08-12-2023, 07:39:22 IST, Lat: 12.50 & Long: 79.85, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, India."
