'Bharat' In G20 Invite: DMK Says BJP Fears I.N.D.I.A Front, AIADMK Awaits 'Clarity'

DMK MP Tiruchi Siva said that nobody can rename India and BJP's move only shows that they have got scared.

Tamil Nadu parties remain divided over the reference of 'Bharat' instead of India in G20 Summit invitation cards. While DMK dubs that the invite showed that BJP got of Opposition alliance’s move to name their coalition as I.N.D.I.A, AIADMK said that they await more clarity on the matter. After a meeting of the Floor leaders of I.N.D.I.A. alliance in Delhi, DMK MPs TR Baalu and Tiruchi Siva spoke to the media on Tuesday.  MP TR Baalu said, "We have discussed the matter. They are taking up each and every matter together. Letter will finally be sent to the Prime Minister."

DMK MP Tiruchi Siva said that nobody can rename India and BJP's move only shows that BJP got scared.

Tiruchi Siva said, "After we named our alliance INDIA, BJP is scared. Now they have dropped the name. Soon, after the elections, they will drop their power and leave India to us to rule the country."

"They are scared of the name India. India is not only the nation's name, it is known very well across the world...Nobody can rename it...After the Opposition parties united and named the alliance as INDIA, the BJP got scared," he said.

AIADMK leaders said that they await clarity on the issue. AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan said, "We are awaiting more details, that's what our leader also said...Usually, the office of the Rashtrapati Bhawan sends out a circular detailing what led to such actions or changes if there is any.
