'Few People Waiting For Reasons...': Udhayanidhi Stalin On AR Rahman Concert Fiasco

Further, Minister Udhayanidhi alleged that a few people have been waiting for reasons to criticize AR Rahman.

After a fiasco at Oscar award-winning composer music director AR Rahman’s concert in Chennai, Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said that he did not attend the concert but action was initiated against police officials. He said, Tamil Nadu government will find out the real reason behind the incident and take action against the respective person. However, he also alleged that a few people have been waiting for reasons to criticize AR Rahman.

Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said, "I didn't go to the AR Rahman concert. Like you, I also watched it on social media. Actions have been taken against Police officials. A last-minute rush is said to be the reason for that."

"We have to avoid such incidents in the future. A few people are waiting for reasons to criticize AR Rahman. Tamil Nadu Government will find out the real reason behind the untoward incident and take action against the respective person," he said.

Due to poor management, AR Rahman's concert on Sunday in Chennai attracted lot of negative attention. From groping to stampede-like situations, the fans raised several issues due to the improper event management plan.

On social media, the audience lambasted the event's planners and alleged that many of them were unable to enter the venue despite having the tickets. Some of them said that they were unable to even hear the songs performed at the concert due to a lack of speakers.

In response, AR Rahman on Monday asked followers to email a photo of their tickets along with any complaints they had at the venue.
