AIADMK General Council Meeting: EPS Camp Says Resolution On Single Leadership On July 11, OPS Walks Out

AIADMK General Council Meeting: As of Wednesday, some of the leaders who shifted their support from OPS camp to EPS camp include KP Munusamy, Mafoi Pandiarajan, Semmalai and Dr V Maitreyan.

Chennai: The former CM Edappadi Palaniswami camp refused to accept all 23 resolutions proposed by coordinator O Panneerselvam (OPS) and said the resolutions will be passed only if single leadership is brought into the party on Thursday. They also said that the single leadership resolution will be passed in the next meeting on July 11.

Addressing the general council meet in Srivari Kalayana Mandapam in Vanagaram, the AIADMK leaders from EPS camp also said that dual leadership should be cancelled. They also announced Tamilmagan Hussain as the permanent presidium chairman of the party.

OPS and EPS arrived at the venue at 11.30 on Thursday. However, even before OPS entered the venue, the cadre raised slogans against O Panneerselvam. They even called him a traitor and told him to not enter the venue. After a commotion, both the leaders took the stage.

However, the EPS camp rejected all 23 resolutions. The move to reject 23 resolutions comes after AIADMK cadre anticipated that the single leader for the party will be announced in the meeting.
