Uttarakhand: Four Pilgrims From MP Dead As Landslide Buries Vehicles In Uttarkashi
The incident took place on Monday night when the vehicles came under falling debris due to the landslide.
Four people were killed and 10 others injured on Tuesday when a landslide triggered by heavy rains buried three vehicles near the Gangnani bridge on the Gangotri National Highway, PTI reported. The deceased were from Madhya Pradesh.

"Four people have died due to falling debris. 10 passengers who were injured have been admitted to CSC Bhatwadi for treatment", the police said. Two of the 10 people injured are in a serious condition.
Following the incident, local people and personnel of the Border Roads Organisation joined the relief work and rescued the injured.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday expressed grief over the incident and requested people to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rains, which have battered the state for two days.

In a Tweet, Dhami said, relief and rescue work was going on by the district administration and SDRF and proper treatment was being provided to the injured.

He also said, “I pray to god to give peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured.”
The Badrinath National Highway and several other roads were blocked due to incessant rains and landslides on Monday, officials said, as quoted by PTI. The report added that the traffic on the highway was restored after a few hours while efforts are on to open other roads that are still closed.
The MeT department has issued an alert for heavy rains in 11 districts of the state.
