'Those Who Have Nothing To Do With Freedom Struggle...': BSP Vs BJP Over 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' Chant In UP — WATCH
The MP alleged that the protocol was not being maintained and BJP members were chanting slogans which were opposed by him.
Bahujan Samaj Party MP Kunwar Danish Ali on Sunday hit out at Bharatiya Janata Party MLC Hari Singh Dhillon over his ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ chant during an event at Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha. During Sunday’s launch of Amrit Bharat Station Plan, the BJP MLC started his address by chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ which was objected to by Ali and both the leaders came face to face. Railway and police officials had to intervene to pacify the situation.
“Those who have nothing to do with the freedom of the country, they want to make every government program a program of BJP-RSS, converting every program into the program of their party, those people who have nothing to do with freedom will teach us patriotism,” said the BSP MP.

“They are portraying as if the country did not gain freedom before 2014 and that no development took place before. They want to make it a party event and that is what we opposed. The protocol of the government program was not visible there. With the tireless efforts of the last four years, two stations of my Lok Sabha constituency, Amroha and Gajraula, have been included in the revamp plan, whose foundation stone was laid on Sunday,” he added.
“I first went to Gajraula to participate in the program and later came to Amroha, because I had raised my voice in the Lok Sabha for the revamp of both the stations and had repeatedly requested the railway minister. I am happy that Amroha railway station and Gajraula railway station will be renovated for this, facilities will increase,” Ali said.
The MP alleged that the protocol was not being maintained and BJP members were chanting slogans which were opposed by him.
"Bharat Mata is more ours than it is theirs. We worship Bharat Mata five times. When we offer Namaz five times, our forehead rests on the ground, nothing will happen what they may say," he said.
