Supertech Emerald Court Demolition: UP CM Yogi Adityanath Orders Strict Action Against Officials Involved

Supertech Case: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stand against the accused in the Supertech case. The CM has directed strict action against the accused officials.

Noida Supertech Case: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stand following the Supreme Court's judgement in the Supertech Case. CM Yogi has directed strict action to be taken against the accused as well as against involved government officials.

He directed for an SIT to be constituted immediately to examine the role of officers posted in Noida authority from 2004 to 2017 and submit the report at the earliest so that strict action can be taken against the accused officials.

Demolition of Towers 16 and 17 of Supertech's Project Emerald had not even begun when Noida Authority officials began to feel the heat of CM Yogi's crackdown on Supertech Builders.

While Noida Authority Planning Manager Mukesh Goel has been suspended, the SIT would be submitting its report after examining the role of officers posted there between 2004 and 2017. Based on the report, action would be taken against the officers who were involved in the project.

These were the deployed officers:
It is crucial to know which officers were deployed on the project between 2004 and 2017 in order to know the accused. In 2005, Sanjeev Sharan was the CEO of Noida Authority when the Emerald Court was being developed and buyers were booking their "dream home" there. However, after the 2007 elections and with BSP rising into power, Mohinder Singh was made Chairman and CEO of Noida Authority and was accompanied by DCO N.P. Singh, ACEO C.B. Singh and OSD Yashpal. Mukesh Goyal was also posted in the planning department at that time Supertech started construction of Emerald Court Towers 16 and 17 in 2009.

The scandal continued:
However, this scam being orchestrated by Supertech and Noida Authority officials did not end there. As soon as the Samajwadi Party come to power in 2012, Sanjeev Sharan was once again made the CEO of Noida Authority, but was removed by the State Government after the court's interference. After this, Raman became CEO and Chairman in Noida Authority and during his tenure Manoj Rai became OSD and Rajesh Kumar Singh and Rajesh Kumar were ACEO and DCEO respectively.

But, all these officers turned a blind eye towards Supertech's project. This is the reason why no action was taken against Supertech when Emerald Court buyers went to the High Court in 2012 and 2014 and the court gave a decision in favour of the buyers. The case escalated and was taken to Supreme Court.

SIT formed to probe into matter:
If sources in the Noida Authority are to be believed, the role of Yadav Singh who was posted as CME in the Noida Authority during BSP's rule is also suspicious. It was at his behest that development projects were authorised at the time. However, the truth and the culprits would be known only after the formed SIT completes its investigation. The tough crackdown began with the suspension of Mukesh Goyal, the planning manager of the Noida Authority.
