Noida: Nodal Officer Conducts Surprise Inspection Of Schools To Check Compliance Of COVID-19 Guidelines
As the nodal officer, Atul Kumar Mishra conducted surprise inspections of private and government schools to take stock of how are these schools complying with COVID-19 guidelines.
Noida: The Uttar Pradesh government had permitted schools to conduct physical classes for Standards 9th to 12th from today. However, in order to find out how effectively are schools complying with COVID-19 guidelines, the Chief Minister has deployed nodal officers in districts where the second wave of COVID-19 was most severe.
The state government issued orders to open schools while complying with COVID-19 guidelines, but to find out if the school administrations are abiding by state orders, the chief minister sent nodal officers to all the districts where COVID-19 had wreaked the most havoc.
In Gautam Buddha Nagar, Atul Kumar Mishra, deputy secretary of the department of secondary education, was sent as the nodal officer. He conducted surprise inspections of private and government schools in Noida and took stock of how effectively are schools complying with COVID-19 guidelines.
For the time being, no non-compliance was reported in these checks. All schools were seen abiding these COVID-19 regulations, but the authorities clearly directed the principals and authorities of these schools and colleges against the corrective action that would be taken against them in case of non-compliance.
Review of schools taken:
The team of ABP Ganga also accompanied these officials in these surprise checks, took stock of the schools and saw how effectively are these regulations being complied by the schools. Students attending these physical classes were also asked their opinion on the prevailing situation and the government's decision. The team also interviewed the principal and tried to know how effectively are these regulations being complied by these schools.
Offline studies are better:
The principal and students welcomed the governments decision of reopening schools and said that offline studies are better than online. Lack of a stable internet connection could cause students to miss online lectures, which further impacts studies. Now that schools have reopened, studies are expected to go on smoothly without interruptions.
Social dispensing being taken care of:
The Principal informed that thermal scanning of all the children is being done. Children who do not have masks are being provided with one. All classes are being carried out in compliance with COVID-19 regulations. Special care has been taken to practice social distancing.
Nodal officers appointed:
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is keeping a watchful eye on whether colleges are following COVID-19 protocols or not, he has appointed nodal officers to conduct surprise inspections and to take stock of the situation and report to the CM office on institutes where protocols are being violated, so that corrective action can be taken against them.
