PM Modi Ayodhya Visit: Heavy police deployment has been made across Ayodhya to beef up security arrangements in view of PM Modi's visit. Drones are being used by police to monitor the city closely.

Ayodhya is all set to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday as the city is decked with flowers, murals, and thematic ornamental columns. Apart from the city's decoration, stringent security arrangements have also been made ahead of his visit. Heavy police presence can be seen across the city. Security personnel are keeping a close eye on the restricted areas. The riot police were also deployed in the city to amp up the security measures. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia, local MPs and MLAs, and a few party functionaries will also be present alongside PM Modi during his visit, as reported by news agency PTI.

Police officials were seen using drones for better surveillance of the city.

Divisional Commissioner of Ayodhya, Gaurav Dayal, told PTI that the preparations are in full swing despite dense fog in the city in the last two days. While sharing the details about the Prime Minister's visit, Dayal said, "The prime minister is expected to reach Ayodhya airport somewhere around 10:45 am. After landing at the airport, he will move straight to Ayodhya railway station where he will inaugurate the redeveloped railway station. He will then return to the airport, inaugurate the newly-built airport and subsequently address a 'jan sabha' (public rally)," as reported by PTI.

According to a PTI report, around 1.5 lakh people are expected to assemble for the rally which will last nearly an hour. After the rally, the Prime Minister will depart from Ayodhya.

Wooden barricades have been set up on both sides of the recently redeveloped Ram Path, and other roads that will fall on his route as he heads for the railway station from the airport, PTI reported.

Large posters bearing PM Modi's image have been put up at various prominent locations across the town.

The Divisional Commissioner further said, "We are all set for the PM's visit tomorrow. The city is being decorated with flowers. Beds have been reserved in various hospitals and at Rajarshi Dashrath Medical College, and security personnel are on their toes," as quoted by PTI.

A nursing staff at the Sri Ram Hospital in Ayodhya told PTI that 20 beds in a ward in the old hospital building and five ICU beds in the new building have been reserved ahead of the visit.

The Prime Minister's visit comes just three weeks ahead of his subsequent Ayodhya visit which will be to attend the consecration of Ram Lalla's idol in Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.
