Ram Mandir Inaugurated: As the consecration of the much-anticipated Ram temple took place on Monday in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath termed the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony as an emotional moment for the country after a 500-year wait. He remarked, "The temple has been built where we had resolved to build it.". The comment is a callback to the popular "Mandir wahin banayenge" slogan of the Ram Janmabhoomi protest wherein political leaders and other agitators demanded for a temple to be built on the disputed site where Babri Mosque stood.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya signifies the establishment of a harmonious society without discrimination. Adityanath asserted that with this milestone, the era of gunfire and curfews in Ayodhya will be replaced by festivities, symbolizing a new chapter in the city's history.
"Now the streets of Ayodhya won't echo with gunshots. There will be no curfew. Now there will be Deepotsav and Ramotsav here. Shri Ram's name 'Sankirtan' will echo in the streets because the establishment of Ram Lalla here is the announcement of Ram Rajya," the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister added.

The consecration ceremony, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was witnessed by millions across the nation on television. Approximately 8,000 attendees, comprising seers, Ram Janmabhoomi movement supporters, and celebrities from entertainment, sports, and industry, graced the ceremony.
"It is an emotional moment for all of us and it has come after a wait of 500 years. The whole nation has become 'Ram maye' (immersed in the devotion of Lord Ram). It seems that we have arrived in 'Treta Yug'," expressed Chief Minister Adityanath, evoking the Hindu belief that the Ramayana unfolded in the 'Treta Yug'.
Adityanath envisioned the Ram temple as a symbol of 'Ram Rajya', representing a society free from discrimination, echoing the principles embedded in Prime Minister Modi's policies and plans. He highlighted the unprecedented patience and unity displayed by every section of society, transcending barriers of caste, ideology, and worship methods, towards the construction of the temple.
"This is probably the first instance in the world where the majority community of a nation waited almost 500 years for the construction of a temple at the birthplace of their God in their own country," remarked Adityanath, acknowledging the collective efforts, as quoted by PTI.
Adityanath paid tribute to Ayodhya's resilience, stating, "Ayodhya... was cursed, neglected for centuries and faced planned humiliation. But the life of Ram taught us patience and restraint." He noted that Ayodhya is now gaining global acclaim and emerging as the cultural capital of the world.
The Chief Minister extended gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for spearheading the construction of the Ram temple, recalling the confidence instilled in Indians when Modi assumed power in 2014. The 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla, the focal point of the ceremony, was crafted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, whom Adityanath lauded as the blessed artist behind the divine image of Lord Ram.
