Ayodhya News: UP To Get Another Airport Soon, Foundation Stone Will Be Laid In Ayodhya
The UP government has completed preparations for the foundation stone of six airports in the state including Ayodhya.
Ayodhya News: Uttar Pradesh is soon to get another international airport as the foundation stone of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport is going to be laid in Ayodhya soon. Preparations for the same have been completed by the state government.
The government has also acquired land for the same. The proposed international airport in Ayodhya as well as five other airports will be inaugurated soon. In this regard, UP Civil Aviation Minister Nand Gopal Gupta held a meeting at his office in the Legislative Assembly on Friday. Officials from the civil aviation department also attended the meeting.
351 Acres Of Land Acquired
The Civil Aviation Minister reviewed the airports in the state in the meeting including the development-related works of the RCS airport. Officials told the minister that preparations for laying the foundation stone of the proposed airport in Ayodhya were completed. The acquisition of 351 acres of proposed land for the first phase of the airport was also discussed in the meeting.
It was decided that the foundation laying ceremony will be organised in late December or January, which means that the construction of the airport will begin soon.
Gupta Enquired About The Progress Of Ongoing Airport Construction Projects
The Civil Aviation Minister also took detailed information about Agra, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, Chitrakoot, Bareilly, Jhansi, Kanpur, Meerut, Sonbhadra, Gorakhpur, Hindon, and Prayagraj airports during the meeting.
The minister said that like Jewar Airport, other airports in the state are also likely to be developed on the PPP model. The officials said in the meeting that the flights have been started from Kushinagar International Airport to Delhi.
Flights to Kolkata and Mumbai will also start soon. They said that under RCS, the work of the Chitrakoot airport runway has been completed. Apart from this, the minister also enquired about the work of the new terminal building of Kanpur Airport.
