'Sinking Into Internal Politics': Akhilesh Yadav Amid Buzz Of BJP Rift In UP, Deputy CM KP Maurya Reacts

Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at the BJP amid buzz over infighting, saying that the party was busy in its struggle for power and had sidelined UP's governance and administration.

After the social media post shared by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya sparked speculation of a rift in the state government, former CM and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the people of UP were fed up with the infighting between the BJP leaders in the state. He said that the saffron party was sinking into a difficult position in the state due to the internal conflicts.

Hitting out at the BJP, Yadav said that the party busy in the fight for power, as a result of which, the administration and governance in UP were being overlooked

"In the heat of BJP's power struggle, governance and administration in UP have been sidelined. The kind of disruptive politics BJP used to engage in with other parties is now being practiced within its own party. This is why BJP is sinking into the quagmire of internal conflicts." Akhilesh Yadav posted on X.

"There is no one in BJP who thinks about the public," Yadav said.

These remarks came after Prasad's tweet following a meeting with BJP President JP Nadda created a buzz. It was being viewed as a vielded jibe at UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

During a party event, the Samajadi Party supremo was quoted as saying: "There is infighting in the government. BJP leaders are fighting among themselves. The people know about the corruption and are fed up with the game of thrones."

The UP Deputy CM had posted on X: "The organisation is bigger than the government, the pain of the workers is my pain. No one is bigger than the organisation, the workers are the pride."

'Return Of SP's Hooliganism In UP Is Impossible': Maurya

However, responding to Yadav's remarks, Maurya hit back at the former CM stressing that the BJP had formed a strong government in the state and at the Centre. He added that there was no chance for the Samajwadi Party to return to power.

"SP Bahadur Shri Akhilesh Yadav ji, BJP has a strong organization and government both in the country and the state, SP's PDA is a fraud. The return of SP's hooliganism in UP is impossible, BJP will repeat 2017 in the 2027 assembly elections," Maurya posted on X, replying to Yadav's comments.

BJP suffered a major set back in the Lok Sabha polls in UP after seat tally dropped to 33 from 62, and is now eyeing the upcoming bypolls in ten assembly seats.
