'You Will Be Isolated If...': Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin's Warning To PM Modi Over Budget Allocation

Stalin warned PM Modi to run the government impartially and refrain from avenging those who have defeated him.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing him of saving the government rather than the nation over the issue of budget allocation to states.

Stalin warned PM Modi that he will be "isolated" if he continues to target rivals rather than focus on governance.

Taking to X, the DMK chief said, "INDIA coalition MPs have staged a protest protesting the exclusion of several states in the Union Budget."

"Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi You said, "The election is over, now we have to think about the country." But yesterday #Budget2024 will save your government, but not the nation!" Stalin said.

He also warned the prime minister to run the government impartially and refrain from avenging those who have defeated him.

"I am obliged to advise you that if you run the government according to political likes and dislikes, you will be isolated," Stalin added.

The remark comes as INDIA bloc leaders walked out from the Rajya Sabha saying that all the states except Bihar and Andhra Pradesh were ignored in the Modi 3.0 government.

Stalin shared a photograph of MPs from the INDIA bloc protesting before the Parliament over the allocation of projects to states in the Union Budget 2024.

DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran also advised PM Modi to follow CM Stalin and work for those who didn't vote for his party.

The Tamil Nadu government said that no provision has been made for infrastructure projects like the second phase of the Chennai Metro Rail and similar developments in Coimbatore.

In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the DMK-led alliance secured all 40 seats in Tamil Nadu, while the AIADMK and the BJP drew a blank.

Several other opposition leaders including Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav also targeted the centre for ignoring states and focusing on Bihar and Andhra Pradesh.
