Maan Government Transforming Workers' Lives

A significant milestone has been achieved with the registration of over 50 lakh (5 million) workers on the E-Shram portal.

AAP's Commitment to Labor Welfare

The Maan Government, under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is relentlessly working towards uplifting the labor force and improving their quality of life. With a deep-rooted commitment to ensuring the welfare of workers, the Maan government has introduced a series of transformative initiatives aimed at providing financial support, better working conditions, and access to social security schemes.

Empowering Workers with Awareness and Welfare Camps

To ensure that laborers across Punjab are well-informed about government policies and welfare schemes, special awareness camps have been organized throughout the state. These camps have successfully connected thousands of workers with government benefits, enabling them to secure financial aid and improve their standard of living.

Over 5 Million Workers Registered on the E-Shram Portal

A significant milestone has been achieved with the registration of over 50 lakh (5 million) workers on the E-Shram portal. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s social media handle recently shared this remarkable achievement, reflecting the government’s commitment to providing social security benefits to workers in both organized and unorganized sectors.

Financial Assistance Worth Crores Distributed

The Mann Government has prioritized financial support for registered workers. In the financial year 2024-25 alone, an amount of ₹31.71 crore has been disbursed to 19,055 workers. The government’s consistent efforts are evident from the previous financial years as well:

  • ₹102.23 crore was distributed among 67,549 workers in 2022-23.
  • ₹97.29 crore benefited 41,155 workers in 2023-24.

These financial aids have significantly contributed to enhancing the well-being of the labor community in Punjab.

Punjab Wins the Prestigious SKOCH Award for Labor Welfare

The Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board has been honored with the SKOCH Award 2024 for its exemplary work in policy formulation and implementation. The board has also introduced relaxations in eligibility criteria for various welfare schemes, including scholarships, electricity subsidies, and maternity benefits, ensuring that more workers can avail these benefits with ease.

A Government That Cares for Its Workers

The Mann Government’s unwavering commitment to labor welfare is setting new benchmarks in governance. By simplifying access to social security schemes, increasing financial aid, and ensuring transparency in implementation, the Maan Government is truly transforming the lives of its hard working labor force.

The Maan Government continues to march forward with its mission of making Punjab a model state for labor welfare and empowerment. With these progressive initiatives, the future looks brighter for every worker in the state.
