'Monu Darling' To 'Fundamentalist Parishad': Owaisi Attacks Haryana's BJP Govt Ahead Of Nuh Yatra

Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra: Ahead of VHP's planned procession in Nuh, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi has slammed Haryana's BJP government over last month's violence.

Nuh Braj Mandal Yatra: Ahead of the planned religious procession in Nuh by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on the last Monday of Sawan month today, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has sharpened his attack on the BJP-led Haryana government. Owaisi alleged that the state government knew before the Nuh violence last month that Muslims would be targeted under the pretext of the yatra. He added that the dear treatment of accused Monu Manesar and "fundamentalist 'Parishad" led to communal clashes in the district in July.

Owaisi further said that these miscreants are not BJP's pawns but it is the "BJP who is helpless in front of these organised criminals".

"The VHP is threatening to take out a Shobha Yatra against the orders of the BJP government of Haryana. The government knew before the Nuh violence that Muslims would be targeted under the garb of the yatra," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He added, "Had there not been a one-sided legal action against the Muslims and the real culprit had not been made Monu Darling, the fundamentalist 'Parishad' and the Army would not have had so much courage. It seems that these are not BJP's pawns but BJP is helpless in front of these organised criminals."

"If violence happens again in Nuh, only the BJP government of Haryana will be responsible for it. Now there are no Muslim houses left even to demolish," Owaisi concluded.

Notably, security across Nuh has been strengthened in view of the yatra by Hindu outfits in the district despite the administration not giving them permission for some. VHP's Vindo Bansal meanwhile said that the procession is a pilgrimage and no permission is required for it.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday urged the residents to visit their nearby temples for 'Jal Abhishek' and refrain from going outside the city borders. On the other hand, police personnel are not allowing outsiders to enter the state which is seeing curbs on Monday. Internet and bulk SMS services are already banned till Monday and educational institutions have also been ordered to close to ensure law and order in the region.
