'Mumma Doesn't Like When I Cry, But...': Worli BMW Hit-And-Run Victim's Daughter Grieves Mom

Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole slammed the state government on Tuesday saying it is safeguarding the accused in the Mumbai BMW hit-and-run case.

Pradeep Nakhwa, husband of Kaveri Nakhwa, who was killed in the BMW hit-and-run case said on Tuesday that he had asked the accused to stop but he did not listen. He said that everyone knows about the case but nothing is happening.

"I asked him to stop, yet he didn't stop; he ran away," Pradeep told news agency PTI. "She (the deceased) must have been in so much pain. Everyone knows this but no one is doing anything. There is no one for the poor," he said, criying profusely.

Holding a portrait of her mother, Amrutha Nakhwa said, "Mumma does not like it when I cry. I am holding myself but I cannot hold myself back. I want my mumma back. She is everything to me."

"Will you bring my mumma back," asked the grieving daughter.

Kaveri Nakhwa (45) was riding on a two-wheeler with her husband on Sunday in Mumbai's Worli area when a BMW car, allegedly being driven by Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah's son, Mihir Shah knocked the couple down.

The CCTV footage produced by police in court showed Kaveri being dragged by the car for 1.5 kilometres. Footage showed accused Mihir Shah and Rajshri Bidawat pulling the woman off the bonnet, placing her on the road and then mowing down her again while reversing the luxury car.

Congress Slams Maharashtra Govt

Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole slammed the Maharashtra government on Tuesday saying it is safeguarding the accused.

"...The government is safeguarding the accused. The accused in hit-and-run cases are roaming free in Maharashtra...The law and order situation in Maharashtra has deteriorated," Patole said while speaking to news agency ANI.

"The public has made up its mind to show the Maharashtra government its place," he added.

On Tuesday, the Excise Department sealed the bar in Juhu where Mihir Shah had visited. Action was taken against the bar after a two-day investigation which revealed flouting of rules of the Excise Department, reported ANI.
