Delhi Airport Issues Advisory As Rain Lashes National Capital Amid Red Alert

Amidst heavy rainfall in the National Capital, Delhi Airport has issued an official advisory, urging passengers to plan their journeys in advance.

New Delhi: Travellers have been urged to make alternate arrangements as adverse weather conditions swept across the National Capital this morning, prompting an official advisory from Delhi Airport authorities.

In light of potential delays, passengers are encouraged to consider alternative transport options, such as the Delhi Metro, when making their way to the airport, said the Delhi Airport in an advisory on Monday.

Travellers are also advised to consult their respective airlines for the most current flight schedules and updates, it added.

The Delhi Airport Authority’s statement read, “As per the Indian Meteorological Department's forecast, Delhi is experiencing inclement weather conditions. Our on-ground teams are working diligently with all stakeholders to ensure your journey remains hassle-free. Passengers are advised to consider alternative modes of transport, including Delhi Metro, to reach the airport and avoid potential delays. For the latest flight information, passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines.”

The advisory highlights the airport’s efforts to coordinate with airlines and ground staff to mitigate the impact of the rain-soaked conditions.
